August Meeting

Our next meeting will be Tuesday, August 11, at 10:30 a.m. We will meet in the upstairs room in the Woman's Building at the East Texas Arboretum. Details TBA. We hope to see you there, & feel free to bring a friend!

Portrait Workshop

We will have an oil painting portrait workshop with Annie Johnson from Stabat Mater Atelier. Dates: Friday, August 14 & Saturday, August 15, from 10-4 both days. It will be in the upstairs room in the Woman's Building at the East Texas Arboretum, 1601 Patterson Rd. in Athens. Cost is $120 for both days, which includes lunch. You can find the supply list here. To register or for more information, please email Phillip George. Beginners are welcome, although experience using oil paints is helpful. Our first workshop with Annie filled up quickly & attendance is limited, so get your registration in soon!

Our Mission

The purpose of the Henderson County Art Club is to stimulate and improve members’ creative endeavors and art skills; to provide opportunity for communications and exchange of ideas between members and interested community participants; and to expand community awareness in the education of the arts.
