Born in Harrisburg, Illinois, Ann grew up on a farm. In her adult years, she had a strong desire to study art. She worked for the Dallas Civic Opera for 5 years and then moved to Louisiana where she was able to participate in artworkshops and seminars with other aspiring artists. In addition to oil and watercolor instruction, Ann enjoyed classes in decorative arts such as those used by craftsmen in European and Oriental countries to enhance furniture and gifts.
Ann enjoys doing designs for new homes on tile and commissions on furniture for interior decorators. In 2007, she designed and painted a 35-foot mural in the Texas Gospel Music Hall in Athens, TX.
Nickelodeon Magazine of New York published her design for a 5th birthday plate on their anniversary. Martin F. Weber Co. published an article Ann submitted for the "Teachers Notebook Column."
Ann's work has won multiple awards in local and state competitions. She shares here enjoyment of art by doing demonstrations and teaching classes and workshops.
She is a member of the Henderson County Art Club, Athens, TX; the Star Harbor Watercolor Society, Star Harbor, TX; the Central Texas Watercolor Society, Waco; and Decorative Painters of Wichita, KS.
